Maitrank is the traditional aperitif of the Land of Arlon. It’s a tasty and fresh drink based on white Moselle wine and Sweet Woodruff.

The first historical mention of this beverage dates back to the Middle Ages, to around 840.  The people of Arlon used to sweeten the acidity of some wines by adding seasonal plants and other secret ingredients. Today, Maitrank is the very symbol of the city and its surrounding area. Arel Maitrank is producing it according to the traditional and fully natural recipe, which Jean Ridremont, former well-known producer of the region,  left as a heritage.
